So far, I've tried a variety of approaches to weblogs, including Radio Userland, Blogspot, Blogger, and Serendipity, and I continue now with TypePad; hoping at some point to find the solution I'm looking for.
The biggest complaint I've had with each has to do with customization - some welcome a great deal of customization, but the learning curve necessary to accomplish changes is steep. Others don't offer many choices and the confinement of such sites is apparent early on in the development.
Of course, the biggest issue is finding the solution that works best for me, and for those I may eventually request to join me in this endeavor. I'm still looking and will continue to refine my search as I determine what is available.
